It’s raining!!! Yay! I’m so happy again. I’m here in SBC at Rockwell because I have a presentation at school later at 7pm. Bad time to pick a table outside the store, huh? Anyway, the project I’m about to submit will be the last for this stupid hell term. Yep, I’ve upgraded the term “hell week” to cover the whole term because it is what it is. They usually spread out all hard subjects in a year and due to my stupid decision to stop and work, I have to take them all and squeeze it in 3 months.
I just found out now there’s a chapel inside the Power Plant Mall. Guess there’s no excuses now to miss the mass on a Sunday now. I have not been attending for weeks because I usually do homework on a Sunday.
And now for the recommendations: I was bored my ass out watching Garfield 2. There’s just nothing redeeming about it from the stupid plot to the corny jokes. I’m currently listening to Ben Lee’s recent album, “Awake is the New Sleep”. It was nice because it’s light, kinda bordering on the line between Pop and Rock. I’m also into country lately and loving Rascal Flatt’s new album “Me and My Gang”. They’re the dudes who covered “Life is a Highway” for the Cars Soundtrack.
As you can see there’s nothing interesting about this entry. I’m bringing my mac to the service center tomorrow because its battery latch is a little bit loose. It means no computer for at least a week and I wouldn’t be able to do that Grey’s Anatomy marathon I’ve been planning since last week. Bummer.
I’m glad this week is almost coming to an end. It’s been hell dealing with 4 programming projects, all of which will put a heavy weight on my final grade when they release it two weeks from now. I don’t care how high or low I get, just as long as it’s above the passing mark. So far I get favorable responses from my professors. One of them actually took my mac and show this game I made using Python to my classmates and said “This is how a python game should look like” and repeated it five times. I feel embarrassed of course but I’m glad that 2 sleepless nights I spent for that project has not gone to waste.
My iPod hates me. OK, that sounded weird but here’s the story, my iPod has over 3000 songs, most of them are from indie/alternative rock bands you probably have not heard of unless you’re into those stuffs. Anyway, I’m sitting at a table in the campus, minding my own business and I selected ’shuffle songs’ on my iPod. Out of 3000, it decided that it’s time to listen to Hilary Duff! I thought I haven’t heard it in a while so why not? So there, I’m “enjoying the music” when suddenly this guy, who I went to high school with, sat on my table and ask if he can borrow my iPod. I gave it to him and he saw what I’m listening to and he has this smirk on his face which makes me want to punch him. He pressed next and guess what showed up? I’ll give you a clue: something about “pushing a button”. He and his friends started singing the song loudly and now everybody in school thinks I’m some dude who likes music for teenage girls.
Scary Movie 4 is one hell of a funny movie. You know how this kind of movies go…don’t take anything seriously, don’t look for the plot and just go have an awesome time watching some of the popular movies get spoofed. The Oprah bit was the best just because the actress who played her was brilliant! Also loving the music of Imogen Heap, perfect music for your ‘going home’ playlist.
I just found out that they featured this blog on INQ7’s YOU page. Why do I have to send them that dorky picture?
Am I the greatest son or what? See, I overheard my dad telling my mom that he wants to watch an IMAX movie but couldn’t do so because he thinks the ticket admission price is too expensive. He’s so damn curious that he’s always asking me what’s it like watching an IMAX movie which I find funny because who else do I get the money from to watch that IMAX movie? Well, anyway, father’s day is coming up so I thought why not treat him to an IMAX movie? Not just any IMAX movie but *the* IMAX movie which is Superman Returns: The IMAX 3D Experience? Gee, I sounded like a broken record there.
Anyway, I forced myself not to buy anything from Starbucks or McDonald’s or whatever just so that I could save up money to buy a couple extra tickets for my mom and dad. I also got a couple of tickets for myself and Girlie because I promised her I would treat her a couple of weeks ago, back when the time I didn’t think I would be so broke. So, anyway I spent around 1400 pesos just so we could see the Man of Steel wears his underwear on the outside. Funny, I’m not even a Superman fan, bring me the X-Men anytime. At least I get a free 1 hour internet prepaid card (which is useless) and a complimentary IMAX ticket (which is awesome). Oh, despite the high demand of those precious tickets, I was able to get nice middle seats thanks to the super nice ticket lady. Girlie and I will watch on July 2 while my parents will see it on the 4th. Can’t fucking wait.
It was gloomy when we left MoA this afternoon and I was able to take this nice shot of the globe…

nice and kinda creepy!
Arghhh…I hate being broke! It’s just that, I am so not used to asking my parent’s money for everything. I miss the daily caramel macchiatos, the almost unlimited supply of Slurpees and eating out at expensive restaurants just because “I can”. I know, I’m such a spoiled brat but it kills me everytime I go to malls, passing by Apple Center and not being able to say “I’ll buy it on payday.”
Why didn’t I get the “kuripot” gene of my mom? It often amazes me how she budgets her money and not care about life’s little luxury. I wish I was like that but I have to admit that it’s partly her fault, like a small part, that I’m like this now because she spoiled me so much when I was a kid. I remember shouting and crying everytime I want something just so that she will be forced to buy it. I love her for that though, so much.
I have got to change, specially now that my family is having financial problems. Why don’t I start small? Like instead of a grande caramel macchiato, I’ll get the tall one instead? Haha…that is so not changing. Screw it, maybe I’ll be like this forever. Unless something really really horrible happen and we have to live in the streets. God, I hope not.
Guess what? I got a new phone! It’s a Motorola RAZR V3x and it’s black and beautiful.

That’s me holding up the phone in a mirror and taking it using the phone’s internal camera! Hee hee.
After using Sony Ericsson phones since the beginning of Sony Ericsson, I hate Motorola’s UI. And the keypad are hard to use as it’s impossible to not look at it while texting because you always accidentally press the wrong keys. I still chuckle a bit when I hear the “Hello Moto” ringtone though. It has 3G but I haven’t got a chance to use try video calling or surfing as the 3G signal here in our house sucks. But if you have a 3G phone and want to try video calling, just drop me a message. No naughty stuffs, except if you’re hot! *evil grin*.
I named this one Ron. Now before you think I’m some loser guy who names his gadgets because he doesn’t have any real life friends well I am, uhmm…I mean, you’re wrong! I just like to keep things organized for my iBook’s (Ginny, in case you didnt know) bluetooth setup. Instead of saying “RAZR V3x synchronizing with iBook G4. Copy songs to iPod when done?” it will go “Ron synchronizing with Ginny. Copy songs to Hermione when done?” See…who are you calling loser now? Of course, I saved the name Harry for myself. Hmm…that sounded a little bit uncool.
I watch Cars today. Being the Pixar fanboy that I am, no doubt I would like it. I did. It often amazes me how Pixar puts out films that become instant classics. This one isn’t as high-octane as you might think but as with every Pixar film, the characters and the story is the soul. You might be a little bored during the middle part as it has an almost 2 hour running time but trust me, the conclusion will more than make up for it. Don’t forget to stay during the end credits for some hilarious clips. I will definitely catch it again sometime next week.
And oh, some boring pics I took to test my phone’s camera. It’s not really high-quality as I intended this for MMS so don’t judge the phone’s 2 megapixel cam basing on this pictures…
