I Want My iPod Shuffle Green

Jan 30, 2007 Filed under: Apple

title=That didn’t take long. As hordes of holiday shoppers bought their tiny little silver iPod Shuffles Apple gave them a big “Hah!” and release a new version with bunch of different colors just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s cheap for a bunch of people in the first world and will probably buy that as a second, third or whatever number easily but for poor freaks like us, one iPod or (insert name crappy CD-R King MP3 player here) is enough.

Excuse me while I take my big, clunky, not-green-but-white iPod running.

Macworld BadgeI just arrived home from my very first Macworld and man I am tired. There’s just so much going on that it’s hard for me to process everything at once.

I arrived at the South Hall of Moscone Convention center at around noon and head straight to the Apple booth to have a peek of what may be the most lustworthy device of our time, the iPhone. It’s clearly the star of the show as it rotates in it’s 6-foot pedestal surrounded by glass as if it’s an important piece of museum art. I stared at it for quite a long time, only looking away to wipe the drool off my shoe. I watched the live demo on stage as an Apple employee recreates Steve Jobs’ keynote and everyone on the floor was so enthusiastic, some were even talking on their mobile, describing how awesome it is to the person on the other line.

I hate the fact that it’s locked and exclusive to Cingular when it launches in June. Unless someone figures out how to unlock it, which is bound to happen, I wouldn’t be able to get my hands on it until it launches in Asia on 2008. That really sucks.

The Apple TV, the rest of the expo and some photos after the jump.

Ready for Macworld

Jan 7, 2007 Filed under: Apple

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of hordes of Mac geeks rushing to San Francisco to attend Macworld Conference and Expo 2007. It’s the time of the year where His Steveness will take over the stage and announce several new products that will max out our credit cards. A year ago, I would never even dream of attending as I’m halfway around the world. I even ask my sister to just buy me a souvenir shirt but now she doesn’t have to.

By now everyone is expecting the iPhone so it will be a huge huge disappointment if Apple does not, at the very least, mention one. I’m not sure if I want one though since I’m used to carrying two things in my pocket: an iPod and a phone and I’m not really into the idea of having just one device for both functions. I might consider buying a widescreen video iPod if ever they release one just because I gotta have the latest and greatest.

My plan is to just stay at home and wait for the Keynote webcast on Tuesday, January 8 as I want to see Steve Jobs’ introduction before seeing the products on the floor. I’ll be attending the expo on Wednesday to Friday so if any of you guys out there who’s also attending and want some company just leave a comment or use the contact form.

Some photos from setteB.IT after the jump.
