It seems just like yesterday that I switched to Mac having been a Microsoft fanboy ever since I’ve known and use computers. I wanted to write about how me and my iBook has been through together but that’s just a tad too weird. My iBook is clearly begging for a replacement, the hinge which is supporting the top cover is cracked and looks like that it might fall off anytime now. The once-shiny white exterior is now yellowish and the palmrest and trackpad area have signs of coffee stains and ketchup.
I’m holding off getting a new laptop as I want mine to come with Leopard. June was a likely date but that changed as Leopard’s release has been pushed back to October and I just can’t wait that long anymore. Buying something that you know will be heavily used for a couple of years is harder than I thought, specially with prices so close together and your budget is extremely limited.
The Apple Store’s special deals section is a haven for good deals. $799 for the base core duo MacBook with the same warranty as a brand new one is really cheap. I was almost certain I will buy that one but decided against it as I remember the problems most people had with the first generation MacBooks. There’s also the base Core 2 Duo Macbook from Amazon.com for just $1024 after rebate but the mid-range model is also tempting and $200 is a small price to add for extra memory and double-layer Superdrive. And then there’s the black one, which is sleek-looking and will be easier to maintain as dirt and stains will be less noticeable in black.
As you may have noticed, I’ve been thinking about this stupid thing way too much. Actually, that’s all I think about this past 2 weeks. Heck, I even created an Excel worksheet to weigh the pros and cons of buying a certain model. Oh well, My Amazon Prime membership expires in 2 days so I have to make a decision by then to take advantage of the free 2-day shipping.
Having followed all of these tips, you can now send all of your money to your adult sons and daughters in the Philippines who are oblivious of the word “job”.
Twitter started the whole mini blogging craze to tell people all over the world what their cat has been up to lately. They haven’t even reached massive popularity yet but they found competition with Jaiku a similar service with a whole lot of extra bells and whistles.
I doubt anyone has been stealing ideas since Jaiku looks like it’s been in development for quite some time. The most notable feature of Jaiku is the ability to fetch your web feeds automatically. What this means is it automatically post Jaikus whenever you post something new on your blog or uploaded a photo on Flickr, which a lot of people are doing manually on Twitter. I can see a lot of Twitter users would consider switching to Jaiku as it allows them to keep both accounts active.
Anyway, go check it out and while you’re there visit my Jaiku page.
OK, this is weird. I didn’t know people ate rabbits and more importantly Amazon.com (well, a partner) sells it! Pretty expensive too.
Fresh whole rabbit on Amazon.com
I can just imagine Easter at the dinner table… “Kids, did you have fun meeting the easter bunny? Now eat it.”
Customers who bought the rabbit also bought:
Univ Flat Wall Mount for 22-49IN Flat Panel Screen
And oh, this was the best review ever:

“I was walking with my mother on the beach the other day, and confided that there are times that I, as a woman, just don’t feel fresh. I was so happy when my mother told me about the Fresh Whole Rabbits available on Amazon! Now, every morning, I just use a little of my Fresh Whole Rabbit and I feel fresh and breezy all day long!
Amazon, I thank you. My mother thanks you. And especially, my husband thanks you. “
How do you maintain a blog when there’s nothing absolutely interesting going in your life right now? Actually, there is something interesting going on but I don’t want to disclose anything that’s not final yet with the fear that I might jinx it.
I post on Twitter a lot so that’s probably the reason that I can’t come up with interesting posts here anymore.
